About the Tour

Climate SOS is taking a tour of the country to meet with people, spread our message, and help organize meetings and actions to influence key swing vote Senators!  Activist Duff Badgeley will be traveling with a small support group (by bus and train only – no cars!), stopping off in North Dakota, Indianapolis, Little Rock and Cleveland.

Now is the time for nonviolent civil disobedience, office occupations, and nationwide protest

Capping the tour on September 22, Climate SOS plans mass nonviolent civil disobedience, office occupations and protests in San Francisco, Seattle, Boston and New York. Climate SOS will occupy California senator Barbara Boxer’s office in San Francisco and Senator John Kerry’s Boston office on that day.

We need YOUR HELP! Join us, talk to your friends and allies, spread the word, come to meetings with Senators and help reach out to media in your town!

It is critical that your senator knows that you support a vote against the bill FOR THE RIGHT REASONS – namely if (as appears very likely) the bill is based on the house “American Clean Energy and Security Act, which is inadequate, “worse than nothing”, and will lock us into a path towards failure.

We must demand a far, far better climate bill that stands a chance of securing our future!
